Performance Coaching

Performance coaching at The Open Road supports individuals preparing for performance goals who want to train with purpose, clarity, and confidence–whether it’s your first start line or a return with more ambitious goals. 


Training is more than just following a plan. It’s a process that asks for consistency, decision-making, and resilience across months of preparation. Coaching with us provides space to slow down, understand your training, and move forward with intention, ensuring your effort aligns with your goals. 

Performance coaching focuses on building durable fitness, effective habits, and thoughtful execution . Together, we integrate training structure, nutrition strategy, and mindset to support how you train, recover, and perform. We focus on adapting to challenges, managing stress, and executing confidently when it counts. 


Open Road performance coaching supports you with: 

  • Structured training plans aligned to your race and experience level 
  • Nutrition strategies that support load and race demands 
  • Race-day planning and execution 
  • Balancing training with work, travel, and life 
  • Building confidence, consistency, and trust in the overall process 

This is not about chasing perfection, but rather developing the skills, systems, and self-awareness needed to perform with intention and composure when it comes to achieving your goals. 

Weekly Training Plan. 

All packages purchased will include a weekly training plan for the respective type of race (ironman, marathon, etc.):

  • 20 week plans for marathon/half marathons
  • 20 week plans for 70.3 Ironmans
  • 28 week plans for Ironman
  • Other race plans are available upon request (e.g., 5k, 10 miler, Hyrox). Send us an email.


Weekly Race Execution & Performance Lab (Video Series)

All coaching packages include access to a weekly 35-minute live webinar focused on race execution and performance.

Each session includes:

  • 20 minutes of targeted instruction on a race-specific topic
  • 15 minutes of live Q&A to address athlete questions and real-time challenges
  • Topics rotate weekly and may include: nutrition and fueling strategy, race-day preparation, mindset and goal setting, transition efficiency, strength work during training blocks, mobility, recover, stretching, and equipment.

Sessions are held Sunday evenings, designed to help athletes prepare mentally and physically for the week ahead.
